We are frequently asked if we are able to groom cats. Many cats are very fearful of grooming facilities due to barking dogs and other loud noises and pet parents are interested in a quieter option as we typically do not have dogs in the building. After much debate, we recently added grooming to our available services with a few caveats. We do not perform professional grooming requests. The grooming we perform is typically for medical concerns, such as severe matting. We can perform more basic grooming needs such as a bath, nail trim, and brush-out; but our shaving is limited to belly shaves, sanitary shaves, and lion cuts. Please do not expect to be able to choose other stylistic haircuts for your cat. The lion cut is the most common medically requested hair cut. It is typically performed in cats that are unable to manage their long hair (senior pets, mobility issues, etc). It can also be elected by pet parents that want to avoid future matting issues. Lion cuts are performed by shaving the hair of the cat short along the trunk of the cat, while the mane and boots are left at their regular length.

How do I book a grooming appointment?

Grooming appointments can be booked through our online scheduler located at the bottom of this page. Please select a date that works for your schedule and then complete the follow-up registration questions. Your cat will need to be dropped off at 8:30 am and picked up around 1:30-2 pm on the same day. To reduce the stress of your cat while at its grooming appointment, we require approval for us to administer a mild anti-anxiety medication. Most cats are very stressed when leaving their home and a bath often worsens their fears. The anti-anxiety medication helps to make their grooming spa day as stress-free as possible. Rabies vaccines are required for pets that are being groomed. You may also elect to have other preventative care performed on the same day as grooming.
